- cargo update removes uninstalled deps from target/, when detected they have been removed from Cargo.toml
- Cargo check does not check doctests
- Cargo should tell `build.rs` what the Rust edition is
- build.rs should ignore RUSTFLAGS

- Allow crate-type=["staticlib","cdylib"] for [[bin]]
- Cargo patch is finickier than it needs to be
