- wc: count characters as bytes in single-byte locales
- mknod: accept hex major/minor values
- wc: fix character counts for malformed UTF-8 input
- mv: warn when the destination doesn't support xattrs
- ln, cp: replacing an entry in a write-only directory fails with EACCES
- mv: moving a directory with a socket or device node across filesystems fails
